Method: 1. Combine all dry ingredients and orange zest in a bowl, mix thoroughly. 2. In a separate bowl, combine vanilla extract, milk, egg and melted butter. 3. Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients, and add combined liquid ingredients. 4. Gently combine all ingredients, until well blended. (Batter should be slightly thicker than pancake batter. Adjust accordingly with extra milk or flour if required). 5. Allow batter to rest for 20-30 minutes. 6. Pour batter and cook in waffle iron, as per manufacturers instructions. Cranberry Orange Syrup: 1. Combine ingredients in saucepan. 2. Bring to boil and simmer till slightly thickened. Serve waffles with lightly salted butter and Cranberry Orange Syrup.
