Cranberry & Camembert Puffs



  • 320 grams ready-rolled puff pastry sheet
  • 125 grams Camembert cheese
  • 100 grams Ocean Spray® Whole berry Cranberry Sauce
  • 15 grams walnuts, finely chopped
  • 1 thyme sprig, leaves picked
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • Poppy seeds, to garnish


Line two baking trays with baking parchment. Unroll puff pastry, roll slightly thinner width ways, then trim to 24 x 32cm. Cut into 12 equal squares.

Slice Camembert into 12 small wedges, put one in the centre of each pastry square. Top with a spoonful of sauce, a sprinkling of walnuts and a few thyme leaves.

Brush pastry borders of each rectangle with a little beaten egg, then fold square diagonally to make a triangle shape and press the borders to seal. Put triangles on the prepared baking sheets, spacing well apart. Chill for 30 min.

Preheat oven to 200°C. Brush tops of triangles with a little more egg and sprinkle over poppy seeds. Cook in the oven for 20 min or until golden and puffed. Serve warm or at room temperature with extra cranberry sauce for dipping.
