Melt butter and sugar in a heavy based pan, add the sliced onions and season with salt and pepper. Cook onions slowly on low heat, stirring occasionally so that they become soft and translucent. This may take up to 25 minutes.
Add vinegar and reduce by three quarters. Add Craisins® and cook for a further 10 minutes, season with salt and pepper.
Separately, pre-heat a heavy based pan or BBQ to its hottest setting.
Season the steaks with salt and pepper and a splash of oil, then flash cook on the pre-heated BBQ or pan for 1 minute on each side or until cooked to your liking.
Serve steak with the Craisins® onion jam on top with chips or boiled potatoes.
